About the program
Trends indicate a weakening of many sectors of the economy, including the IoT sector. However, we can prevent the upcoming crisis with products and technology keeping up with the inevitable changes in our daily lives.
TECHBASE Group took the challenge of gathering potential partners for projects that serve improvement of health safety and worldwide trend of Social Distancing. The program will periodically present new IoT projects, involving manufacturers, software and hardware developers, new technology influencers and media.
Smart Delivery Box
Smart Delivery Box is a project concept bringing together specialists and companies from wide range of IoT-related and other industries. Main idea is to manufacture and distribute an Smart Parcel ecosystem, allowing users to send and receive their deliveries and parcels contactless, promoting this way a global trend of Social Distancing.
The ecosystem will be fully manageable remotely with open-source application and hardware based on open technologies. Remote management will be available via standard 3G/LTE network and NarrowBand-IoT / LoRa to improve the network coverage in under-developed regions. With all the feedback from #CoronaIOT project contributors, a ready-to-use solution will emerge to improve the quality of life and health safety.
Project idea
1. Smart Delivery Boxes will come in different shapes and sizes, to sustain the amount of parcels received – from a single household to apartment buildings and offices.
2. Smart Delivery Boxes will be fully configurable with granted access to different users and delivery companies. One of the options will be one-way-delivery, to avert any security issues.
3. Users will be notified when new parcel will be delivered and/or Smart Delivery Box need to be emptied, thanks to live monitoring of the box contents.
4. The amount of time between package delivery and collection could be specified to prevent any physical contact between users and infection hazard.
